Sacred Necklace
Shining Necklace
Draping upon your nape
A symbol of the sacred,
Perfect compliment
To the sin
Your so found of
Openly living in-
Ringing Necklace
Clanging on the collar bone
You attempt to bring something
Larger than the Sky
Into a silvery chain and locket,
Wether its the medallion of an Arab,
The cross of a Christian,
The crystal of the Metaphysician,
Or,
The pentagram of Satan-
Such twinkling trinkets
Are there for those
Who seek in shiny metals and elements
The mystery of the ages-
Some display it on their frame for all to notice,
Others keep it tucked in secret;
And still for others,
Too proud too admit
That it wears on them,
Like a noose about the neck-
But for me,
Looking up,
From underneath
The gyrating body
I,
Like so many
Am seeking to find
The semblance of security
In the haunting mystery...
And the veil becomes thinner
Between us and the Other
Beholding
The Sacred Necklace
Shining against
The Beautiful length
Of your slender neck-
